Currently the Creative Director and Partner of the new travel magazine Wayfare, Peggy Wong is an award-winning designer and former Deputy Art Director for Martha Stewart in New York. Peggy is also the force behind her multi-disciplined design and product studio, bluepoolroad. Over a decade of experience with some of the world’s most recognized brands, Peggy has traversed the nuances of typography and art direction with fluency. From Victoria’s Secret Beauty to Target, Peggy brings a highly refined sensibility with the credentials to back it up. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (with the Chair’s award for excellence in graphic design), she was also a faculty member at the Art Institute of California. Photography is a natural extension to her already accomplished repertoire—a world traveller since the age of eight, Peggy is now a published travel and architecture photographer. She also pens her blog, onbluepoolroad, where she shares her travel photography in a popular feature aptly named pw.travelogue.
Besides having her own stationery and rug collection under the brand bluepoolroad, Peggy also collaborates with Crane & Co. and Paperless Post on stationery designs. A tile collection lithographed with her travel photography was added in early 2013 to punctuate the brand's creative offerings.
Her past and present clients include Aroma Naturals, Bath & Body Works, Bon Appétit magazine, Chanel, Citizens of Humanity, Coca-Cola Company, Guess?, Halston, IBM, MATT Construction, Pottery Barn, Pure Plant Spa, Reebok, Target, Tumi, Victoria's Secret Beauty, Williams-Sonoma, and more.
Peggy’s design and photography work have been featured in Architectural Digest, Belle, Casa Vogue, Communication Arts, Condé Nast Traveler, Departures, Design*Sponge, Dwell, Interior Design, InStyle, Los Angeles Magazine, Martha Stewart Weddings, New York Times, Print, Vogue Living Australia, and more.
